Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery

Ransomware, a failed server, a flooded office or a direct hit from a hurricane — the question isn't whether something will go wrong, it's how long your business stays down when it does. Our continuity service keeps verified copies of your systems on-site and off-island, and can have critical servers running again from backup while the originals are repaired.

Whole systems, not just files — ready when you need them.

What you get

Back up everything. Prove it works. Recover fast.

Image-based backups

Entire servers and critical PCs — operating system, applications, settings and data — captured frequently throughout the day, not just once a night.

Local and off-island copies

A local copy for fast everyday restores, replicated to secure cloud storage outside Barbados — so a storm, fire or flood on the island doesn't take your backups with it.

Verified restores

Backups are automatically checked to confirm they will actually boot and restore, so you find out about a problem long before you need them.

Run from the backup

If a server fails or is encrypted, it can be started as a virtual machine from the local device or the cloud, keeping your team working while we repair or replace it.

How it works

A recovery plan you've already tested.

01

Plan

We agree which systems matter most, how much data you can afford to lose and how quickly each one must be back.

02

Protect

We deploy the backup device, schedule frequent image backups and replicate them to secure off-island cloud storage.

03

Verify

Backups are checked automatically, and we monitor every job so a failed backup is investigated and resolved promptly — not discovered during a disaster.

04

Recover

When something goes wrong, we restore files, roll back to a point before ransomware struck, or run whole servers from the backup.

Why it matters

Ransomware targets your backups first.

Modern ransomware gangs look for backups before they encrypt anything, because a business that can't recover is a business that pays. Copies kept on the same network — or on a USB drive plugged into the server — are often the first thing they destroy.

Our continuity service keeps backups separated from your everyday network, with an off-island copy kept separate from your office network, and monitors backups for signs of ransomware so we know exactly which clean point to recover from.

Built for island businesses

Hurricane season shouldn't decide your recovery.

Power cuts, surges and flooding can destroy on-site equipment in a single night. With an off-island cloud copy, your systems and data survive even if the office doesn't — and critical servers can be run from the cloud until you're back on your feet.

Pair it with SaaS backup for Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, and every part of your business is covered.

Questions

Frequently asked

We already back up to OneDrive or an external drive. Isn't that enough?

File sync and USB drives protect individual files, but they don't capture whole systems, they're easily reached by ransomware, and restoring a server from them can take days. Image-based continuity backs up entire machines, keeps an off-island copy and lets you run servers from the backup while they're repaired.

How quickly can we be back up and running?

Individual files can usually be restored in minutes. For a failed or encrypted server, we can start it from the backup as a virtual machine. Recovering from the local device is usually much faster than recovering from the cloud, and timing depends on the server's size. We'll agree target recovery times for each system when we plan your setup.

Does this cover Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace?

Those cloud services need their own backup. Our SaaS backup service protects email, files, calendars and Teams or Drive data separately, and we recommend the two together.

How do we know the backups will actually work?

Backups are automatically verified to confirm they will boot, every backup job is monitored, and we can run a recovery test with you so your team knows exactly what happens on the day.

Does it help with compliance and cyber insurance?

Yes. Tested, off-site backups and a documented recovery plan are expected by most cyber insurers and by frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2 and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.

Could your business survive losing its server tomorrow?

Let's review what you back up today, how long recovery would take, and where the gaps are.
